Mike Castron of Cast Resource Equipment announced today the delivery of a new Normet model 1050W Spraymec wet shotcrete machine to Inco’s Stobie Mine in Sudbury. It is the 400th wet shotcrete sprayer designed for mining and tunnelling sold by Normet and its world wide network of distributors. Cast Resource Equipment has represented Normet’s wet shotcrete products for the past 12 years. Castron also stated that "this recent unit is the fifth Normet Spraymec delivered to the mine in the past 12 years." INCO Stobie Mine Nozzleman, Norm Charbonneau, who has operated this style of machine for the past 15 years said "previous performance on the Normet machine was good and downtime was minimal. The SB-500 boom on the Normet Spraymec is the best we’ve seen on the market and is especially effective shooting around corners." "It is a very simple unit to operate and troubleshoot. We depend on these machines a lot for ground support and the reliability we get from the Normet machines allows us to stay on schedule", said Dave Drake, an INCO Stobie operator of Normet equipment over the past 12 years. Cast Resource Equipment is a growing Sudbury-based company with global business relationships. Partnerships with international firms have proven to be successful both in importing and exporting mining products and services. Normet is one of the biggest manufacturers and suppliers of mobile underground shotcrete equipment for mining and tunneling in the world. Cast Resource Ltd. is pleased with its working relationship with Normet. One significant reason is due to the commitment from Normet to provide ongoing "Life Time Care". With LTC, Normet targets to develop the customer-supplier relationship to a new level. The LTC concept incorporates start-up services, training, service and warranty contracts, spare parts, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics services among its many services.
